Balancing life and work: Mamta Mohandas
Mamta Mohandas is having the best of both worlds. The bride-to-be is balancing her shooting schedules and preparations for her big fat wedding with elan. The pretty lass who will tie the knot with her childhood buddy on December 28 at Kadavu Resort, Kozhikode, is busy with the shooting of Shyamaprasad's Arike.
"I believe that personal and professional lives should run parallel. There is no point in postponing my wedding so that I can finish all the projects that I've committed. But I do admit that without the support of Pregith and our family members this wouldn't have been possible."
Mamta says Pregith shares her passion for life. "We think alike. He is not the one who will interfere in my work. Though he did his schooling in a British school and went to New York for higher studies, Pregith is a simple person, says Mamta.
"We both love Arabian food. I have heard from Pregith's sisters that he cooks well. I guess I have to learn cooking from him," she says with a laugh.
About her latest project Arike in which she is essaying the role of Anuradha along with Samvrutha Sunil and Dileep, Mamta says she has always been a fan of director Shyamaprasad, "When the offer came I was excited as it is my first movie with Shyamaprasad. Since I have already worked with Dileep for Passenger I felt very comfortable. I'm enjoying working with Samvrutha, too." Point out that her name in Passenger was also Anuradha, she smiles and says, "Yes, this is my second movie with Dileep and in both these movies my name is Anuradha. This is a coincidence. But the similarity ends there. If Anuradha was a bold journalist in Passenger, in Arike Anuradha is a soft and sensitive woman who is very close to lovebirds Shanthanu (Dileep) and Kalpana (Samvrutha)."
Mamta who has a third project with Dileep, Jithu Joseph's My Boss, says Dileep is an actor with great potential. "Dileep is someone who is easy to work with. He has no airs of a superstar. My Boss is going to be a fun movie and it is the only project that I've committed for next year," she Mamta.
